I’m still here :)

Last year, I spent some unexpected time away due to a health scare — an experience that quietly shifted my perspective in many ways. Running a self-funded small business can be incredibly fulfilling, but also deeply overwhelming at times. Wearing many hats often means carrying the weight of uncertainty, pressure, and responsibility all at once. Somewhere along the way, I realized how easy it is to forget to care for the person behind the work.

This year, I’ve been trying to approach things differently. To take deeper breaths. To move a little slower. To allow myself moments of stillness without guilt.

I’ve been finding joy again in simple things — taking my two dogs on hikes through nature, tending to my neglected garden, and, most importantly, finding my way back to my bench, stronger than ever. Returning to making with a clearer mind and a softer heart has reminded me why I started this journey in the first place.

I found myself returning often to the feeling of water — though, ironically, I’m very much aquaphobic. Still, there’s something about it that continues to pull me in: calm currents, summer breeze against the skin, the quiet rhythm of waves, the way light dances across the surface before disappearing again. There’s something deeply healing about water’s ability to soften edges without force.

The Stillwater collection came together during a season where I found myself thinking deeply about slowness, softness, and the importance of simply breathing.

Stillwater became an extension of that feeling — a collection shaped by gentleness, reflection, and the quiet reminder that softness can coexist with strength.

Thank you for being here. I truly appreciate your support and for allowing room for me to share these small pieces of my world. Yes, I’m still around — perhaps moving a little slower these days — but deeply excited for all that’s ahead and to share what’s new with you soon.

Warmly,
Angel
